VA-accredited claims agents in California

A claims agent is accredited by the VA as an individual, not through an organization. Like a VSO, an agent can’t charge you to prepare or file an initial claim. Unlike a VSO, an agent may charge a fee for work after the VA has decided your claim (38 CFR § 14.636), so ask about fees before you sign VA Form 21-22a.

We list each agent’s city and phone as the VA publishes them. For the full record, or to confirm an agent is still accredited, search the VA’s roster.

You may appoint a representative in any state — near a state line, the closest office is often across it.

About this list

Built from VA’s Office of General Counsel accreditation roster and last verified . Representatives change offices more often than offices move, so call ahead to confirm hours and check an individual’s current accreditation before signing a VA Form 21-22.

A California VSO rep may be carrying hundreds of veterans at once. Valor reads your records, finds conditions you have not claimed and drafts your personal statement — so the appointment is spent filing, not starting.
