1. Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using the Valor Rating platform ("Service"), operated by Valor Rating LLC ("we," "us," or "our"), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree to these terms, do not use the Service.
2. Description of Service
Valor Rating is an AI-powered platform that helps veterans organize and prepare documentation for VA disability compensation claims. Our services include:
- DD-214 document parsing and service history extraction
- AI-assisted VA form generation (21-526EZ, 21-4138)
- Personal statement and buddy statement drafting
- C&P exam preparation materials
- Educational resources about the VA claims process
3. Important Disclaimers
Not affiliated with the VA. Valor Rating is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to the U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs or any government agency.
Not legal or medical advice. The Service is an informational and educational tool. Nothing provided through Valor Rating constitutes legal, medical, or professional advice. For official guidance, consult an accredited Veterans Service Organization (VSO), VA-accredited claims agent, or attorney.
No claim submission. Valor Rating does not submit claims to the VA on your behalf. You are responsible for reviewing all generated documents and submitting them through official VA channels.
No guaranteed outcomes. We do not guarantee any specific disability rating, claim approval, or benefit amount. Claim outcomes are determined solely by the VA.
AI-generated content. Documents generated by our platform use artificial intelligence. You are responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content for accuracy before submission. AI-generated statements may contain errors or inaccuracies.
4. Account Responsibilities
- You must provide accurate and complete information when creating an account
- You are responsible for maintaining the security of your account credentials
- You must not share your account with others or allow unauthorized access
- You must be at least 18 years old to use the Service
- You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your account
5. Data and Privacy
Your use of the Service is also governed by our Privacy Policy, which describes how we collect, use, and protect your personal information, including sensitive data such as your Social Security Number and medical conditions.
By using the Service, you consent to the collection and processing of your data as described in the Privacy Policy, including the use of third-party AI services to generate claim documentation.
6. Acceptable Use
You agree not to:
- Use the Service to submit fraudulent claims or provide false information to the VA
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to other users' accounts or data
- Use automated tools to scrape, crawl, or extract data from the Service
- Reverse engineer, decompile, or disassemble any part of the Service
- Use the Service in any way that violates applicable laws or regulations
- Upload malicious files, viruses, or harmful content
7. Intellectual Property
The Valor Rating platform, including its design, software, content, and AI models, is the property of Valor Rating LLC and is protected by copyright and other intellectual property laws.
Documents generated for your VA claims (personal statements, buddy statements, forms) are yours to use for their intended purpose. You retain ownership of all personal data and documents you upload to the platform.
8. Buddy Statements
When you invite someone to provide a buddy statement through the Service:
- You represent that you have the individual's permission to share their email address with us
- The invited individual must review and agree to the statement content before signing
- Digital signatures captured through the platform are intended for use in VA claim submissions
- You understand that buddy statements are witness accounts and must be truthful
9. Limitation of Liability
THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED. TO THE FULLEST EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW:
- We are not liable for any claim outcomes, rating decisions, or benefit determinations made by the VA
- We are not liable for errors or inaccuracies in AI-generated content that you submit without review
- We are not liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the Service
- Our total liability to you shall not exceed the amount you paid for the Service in the 12 months preceding the claim
10. Termination
We may suspend or terminate your access to the Service at any time for violation of these terms or for any other reason at our discretion. You may terminate your account at any time by contacting us at support@valorrating.com.
Upon termination, your right to use the Service ceases immediately. We may retain certain data as described in our Privacy Policy.
11. Authorized Users
The Service is intended for use by:
- Veterans and active-duty service members preparing VA disability compensation claims
- Individuals invited to provide buddy statements on behalf of a veteran
- Accredited Veterans Service Organization (VSO) representatives assisting veterans
- VA-accredited claims agents and attorneys acting on behalf of their clients
You represent that you fall into one of the above categories and that you will use the Service only for its intended purpose of preparing VA disability claim documentation.
12. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Wyoming, without regard to conflict of law principles. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts located in the State of Wyoming.
13. Dispute Resolution
Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or the Service shall be resolved through binding arbitration administered by the American Arbitration Association ("AAA") under its Consumer Arbitration Rules.
- Arbitration will take place in the State of Wyoming or remotely at your election
- The arbitrator's decision shall be final and binding
- Each party shall bear its own costs and attorney's fees, unless the arbitrator determines otherwise
- You agree to resolve disputes on an individual basis only — class actions, class arbitrations, and representative actions are not permitted
Exceptions: Either party may bring claims in small claims court if eligible. Nothing in this section prevents you from filing a complaint with a government agency.
14. Changes to These Terms
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Material changes will be communicated by posting the updated terms on this page and updating the "Last updated" date. Your continued use of the Service after changes are posted constitutes acceptance of the revised terms.
